St. Paul Home sales for May 2014

Monday is a great day to take a look at some local real estate numbers. If I were to give a one word summary the word I would choose it up. Home sales, the number of homes on the market, the number of new listings, median home prices and average home prices were all up in May from April and March.

May 2014 Numbers

These numbers are taken from our most excellent NorthstarMLS and the numbers are deemed reliable but not guaranteed.  I import the data in to an Excel spreadsheet to get numbers and averages.  These numbers represent most of the homes, townhouses and condos that were sold in May 2014 in the city limits of St. Paul, Minnesota.

Median home sales price for May 2014 was 160,500 which is up 10K from April 2014. Home prices generally peak this time of year and will start declining in June or July.

For more numbers like these please see local market conditions and home prices.

  1. Of course Midway has the fewest number of houses on the market. I should have known when buyers and their Realtors get on the neighborhood facebook group and beg people to sell them their houses. We already have people waiting in line so it seems. Perhaps Midway is just so popular no one wants to leave? 🙂
