National Night out is next Tuesday.
Leave your front light on, and go out and meet your neighbors.
As a member of the West 7th Community center board of directors I would like to invite you to our national night out celebration, and 35th anniversary celebration, I promise it will be a good time. The community center offers a variety of programs for youth, and older adults, including after school programs and meals on wheels.
Help us celebrate our 35th birthday, and meet your neighbors. I am sure members of the St. Paul police department will be on hand as well some of the local politicians we all know and love.
What is National Night Out?
It’s America’s Night Out Against Crime!
The "24th Annual National Night Out" (NNO), a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 7, 2007. We cordially invite you and your community to be a part of our NIGHT OUT 2007 team.
Last year’s National Night Out campaign involved citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from over 10,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide. In all, over 34 million people participated in NNO 2006.
NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
- Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs;
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
- Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
It’s going to be one heck of a party! See you there!
