Ice World

by G. Sax (@gsax)

As I look back on my weekly posts here over the past couple of months, it's obvious that I'm riding a theme: Winter. It's all around me and hard to escape without a long drive or an airplane. I write what I know, and this winter really, really wants to be known.

My posts about the cold and snow have been overwhelmingly positive, and they hit a particularly happy nerve with some of you last week when I posted a video of my dogs running through a snow maze with the help of the "Benny Hill Theme." Teresa can handle absorption rates and home loans and MLS data. I'll be up to my neck in that stuff at my "other" job today.

Ice World It's actually quite great to see a local REALTOR® digging into the data so regularly, especially intertwined with blog posts of cats saying "bite me." If you're a regular reader of this blog, I bet you keep coming back because there's a whole lot of real here. I think it's the only way to go. Real personality, real facts and figures. No b.s.

Maybe some fluff like cats and dogs every now and then. Or how about an "Ice World" that I'm creating with icicles that I pull off my house. It doesn't really have anything to do with housing affordability or median sales prices, but hopefully it shows that I still love playing house even though I'm big people now.

If I want to build a miniature Fortress of Solitude for Superman on my property, I can. Snow maze? Done. Ice rink? Maybe next year. We're only limited by our own imaginations.
