Gasoline Prices Rise Home Prices Stable

The price of gasoline affects the price of just about everything. I am happy to report that the price of gasoline will have no impact on the price of existing homes.  In the last year just about everything has gotten more expensive but home prices have remained stable or have gone down slightly.

The price of gasoline will ultimately affect the price of food and the cost of just about everything except existing homes.  What makes home prices go up?  A demand for homes fueled by jobs that pay a living wage or more.

  1. Don’t long-term increases in the cost of gasoline ding the market in outlying burbs? I thought I remembered hearing something about that last time gas hit $4/gallon.

Maybe but my point is that home prices have not gone up but everything else has.
