St. Paul and the Minnesota Home Ownership Center are sponsoring a foreclosure prevention workshop today for people who are concerned about making mortgage payments, know someone who is in trouble or just want more information.
Today’s workshop is from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Arlington Hills Lutheran Church, 1115 Greenbrier St., St. Paul.
Foreclosure prevention workshops are indeed something that’s required in almost every state now. And if conducted properly, it can surely give some good results. The purpose I suppose is to educate people on how to avoid foreclosures. Besides, the government coming up with a few initiatives like the Rate Freeze, Project Lifeline etc which aren’t successful to that extent. There are 17 and more such ways by which one can try to avoid foreclosure. Take a look at http://www.mortgagefit.com/foreclosure/17ways-avoid.html for the details.
